Happy Feast Day.....
I think it was around 1993 that I was introduced to St. Therese, the Little Flower. A friend of mine, who was a Priest at that time, gave me the book, 'The Story of a Soul', and said to me, "You'll love her, she's a spoiled brat, just like you!" And, fall in love, I did! I remember just reading the first few pages and holding the book up to my heart with such a feeling of peace and love! Her words were like poetry, and I was over-whelmed! I finished the book and it has become my FAVORITE book of all time! Then, of course I couldn't seem to get enough of her...finding all the books I could on her! She made me think, laugh and pray. Several years later, my husband and I went to Paris and Steve insisted that we couldn't possibly go all the way to France and NOT visit Lisieux! So, we took a day trip on the train to the little Saint that I adored! I remember walking into her childhood home and just bursting into tears! I'm all choked up now just recalling it! St. Therese has become such a dear friend to me, and I will ALWAYS hold a dear place in my heart for Tim for introducing her to me!
HAPPY FEAST DAY, SWEET THERESE! I LOVE YOU!
